1. 핑계(excuses)

- Stop making excuses!

- Stop making excuses for him!

- Your excuses won't work on me anymore!

- There is no excuses for domestic violence

- That's a lame excuses!

- That's a ridiculous excuses!

* tardy : 느린 늦은 (외국에선 지각을 tardy라고 많이 표현한다)

2. 아예(for good)

- are you leaving for good?

- Is she quit the job for good?

* reservoir : 저수지

3. Blue collar , White collar, Redneck

- Blue collar : 공장에서 일하는 사람들의 작업복 색깔

- Blue collar job : 공장일

- White collar : 사무실에서 일하는 사람들의 작업복 색깔

- White collar crime : 횡령

- bribery : 뇌물 수수

- Redneck : 시골사람들을 낮춰 부르는 말

4. 엿듣다 ( evesdrop, overhear), 엿보다(steal a glance at 명사, spy on the 명사)

- evesdrop : 엿듣다, 의도 O (= listen)

- overhear : 엿듣다, 의도 X (= hear)

- He tried to steal a glance at my paper

- Stop spy on me!
